Statement from Governor Martin O’Malley on Proposition 8 Ruling by the US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals

ANNAPOLIS, MD (February 7, 2012) – Governor Martin O’Malley today issued the following statement on the US 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling on Proposition 8:

“Many people understand that over the long term, the principles of equal protection under the law and of equal respect for the freedom of all will prevail. Today’s decision is further evidence of that truth.”
