Welcome to the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Maryland
Since my inauguration as Maryland’s 8th Lieutenant Governor in January 2007, I have been working in partnership with Governor Martin O’Malley to strengthen and grow our middle class, to improve public safety and public education in every part of our state and to expand opportunity to more Marylanders.
As we move forward in 2009, I continue to focus my efforts on several specific areas, including Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), Veterans Affairs, Domestic Violence and Higher Education; all of which can be explored on this Web site.
Governor O’Malley and I are devoted to building a stronger future for Maryland’s families and children. And while we are facing difficult times, our commitment to moving forward will not falter. For as long as we are privileged to serve the citizens of our great State, we will continue to fight to put our kids and families first. We hope you will join us in the fight.
Thank you for visiting, and make sure you stop by often to learn about our current initiatives and the progress we are making as One Maryland.
